Associate Professor Orla McNally
Is an experienced Gynaecologist and sub-specialist Gynaecological Oncologist/Cancer specialist.
Orla is currently the Director of the Oncology and Dysplasia Service at The Royal Women’s Hospital and the Gynaecological Tumour Stream Lead for the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer.
In addition to her duties at The Royal Women’s Hospital Orla provides clinical support to Peter McCallum Cancer Centre and Royal Melbourne Hospital. Originally from Ireland, Orla trained in general surgery and obstetrics and gynaecology Ireland and the UK and first came to Melbourne during 1998 when she began her training in gynae-oncology. After five years as a consultant in the NHS in England, Orla returned to Melbourne in 2009.

- Complex gynaecological surgery
- Advanced laparoscopic surgery
- Colposcopy and familial cancer
- Robotic surgery
Orla is passionate about multidisciplinary care and in particular providing women with the opportunity to take part in clinical research and trials. As a member of the Cancer Clinical Network for the Cancer Council Victoria and an advisor to Ovarian Cancer Australia she is a strong advocate for women with gynaecological cancer and their families. Orla is also a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Melbourne.
