Dr Deborah Neesham has been a Gynaecological Oncologist at The Royal Womens Hospital since 1998.
She has been actively involved in local, national and international clinical trials in Gynaecological Cancer since starting work at the hospital.
She is currently chairman of the Gynaecological Oncology oral exam committee at the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, having been a member of the exam subcommittee since 2009, and is actively involved in lecturing and training of college trainees.
She was chair of the RANZCOG Gynaecological Oncology subcommittee from 2006-2009, and a member of the subcommittee for 10 years in total.
She was a member of the board of Victorian Cytology Services from 2001 to 2007.
Shae has been a member of the board of the Womens Cancer Foundation since 2008.
She was included in the Victorian Women’s Honour Roll in 2008 for her services to the women of Victoria diagnosed with ovarian cancer.
She has a particular interest in cancer and precancerous conditions of the vulva.
